Last year, on behalf of BMD Construction, Cutting Force undertook some scarifying of the Sale Bridge. This involved using the machinery to even out the concrete slab to a level height, by smoothing the concrete down.
Just so there’s no confusion as to what using a scarifier involves (it’s not as – wait for it – scary as it sounds):
Scarifiers, also called surface planers or milling machines, remove concrete faster and more aggressively than grinders. That’s because they use the pummeling action of multi-tipped cutting wheels, or flails, that rotate at high speeds to chip away at the concrete surface. [concretenetwork.com]
